Two icons in the tennis industry, Lacoste and Venus Williams, came together to celebrate the opening of a new court in the Bronx for underprivileged youth and Vogue was there to capture it all—from the event itself to the fashion week afterparty at Nine Orchard. Working in conjunction with Vogue Creative Director Sarah Ruby and photographer Caroline Tompkins, we acted as a fly on the wall, following Venus as she spent the day uptown at the opening ceremony for the court, getting ready in her hotel room, and then later, downtown at the party.
